Job description
Based in the City of London, our client is a world-leading alternative investment management business who is currently seeking an experienced C# Developer to fill a 6 month contract position.
Role Responsibilities – Intermediate:
- Working as part of an existing development team of 14 based in London and Pfaeffikon (Switzerland) - role is based in London.
- Working on Continuous Enhancements and Production Support for a range of C#/SQL Server based systems within the Valuations and Market Pricing arena.
- Working as part of a team on larger projects - including elements of analysis, testing and development.
- Working within the Scrum/Kanban style of Agile development, utilizing engineering practices such as TDD.
Role Requirements:
- Excellent C# skills (.NET 2.0+)
- Excellent SQL Server Skills (2008 R2+)
- Agile Development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
- Test Driven Development and Unit Test experience
- Excellent Analysis and Problem solving skills
- Good Communication skills
- Experience with NAnt/Jenkins/Hudson desirable
- 3/4 years C# and software experience
- Financial services/hedge fund background preferred, especially with exposure to valuations and pricing
