Equal Opportunities Policy


Purpose
To ensure that SkillsHub Limited can attract, retain and build superior relationships with employees, candidates and clients in our community, regardless of individual differences, promoting social and economic diversity. The aim of this policy is to inform of SkillsHub’s responsibilities for equal opportunities and our commitment to promoting diversity at work.
All members of staff must be aware of this Equal Opportunities Policy and should abide by its terms at all times including in their dealings with clients and candidates.

Scope
This policy applies to all job applicants, employees, contractors/consultants and any other employee or person acting on behalf of SkillsHub, who is concerned with the employment or engagement, or potential employment or engagement of people. The Equal Opportunities Policy will apply at all stages of recruitment. In addition, this policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leaves of absence, compensation and training.

The Law
Employment equality law places heavy responsibilities on employers. Application of an Equal Opportunities Policy will help SkillsHub to ensure compliance with the requirements of equality legislation, and identify and eliminate hidden bias in employment practices and procedures.

Company’s Policy Statement
SkillsHub is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to opposing all forms of discrimination. The Company will not tolerate discrimination based upon disability, marital or parental status, race (which means colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origins), sex, sexual orientation, religious belief, political opinion, part-time or fixed term contract status, irrelevant criminal record or age. To avoid this we will review each step of the selection process with the aim of eliminating any possibly discriminatory aspects.
